A park and cruise hotel gives you a room the night before and somewhere to leave the car while you sail. The value depends on three things: how many days of parking you get, whether a transfer is included in both directions, and how far the hotel is from your terminal.

Three of these need a closer look before you book.
- Leonardo Royal says "2 way transfer" on its 4, 8 and 21 day pages and "One way transfer" on the 15-day page. Ask which applies to yours.
- Hilton Southampton Utilita Bowl lists transfers to and from the terminal, and the same page says reception can help you book taxi transport to the docks. Ask who pays for what.
- Harbour Hotel takes you to the terminal only, so you need your own way back to the car after the cruise.
Which hotels offer cruise parking without a transfer?
These hotels offer cruise parking, but you arrange your own way to the terminal, so add a taxi to the cost.
- Elizabeth House Hotel on The Avenue has cruise parking from £4.75 a day with no time limit, open to non-residents, and can organise transfers to the port. It does not publish the transfer price.
- Hunters Lodge charges room guests £8 a day and has limited spaces. It says outright that it offers no transfers. Its page carries no date, so confirm the price.
- ibis and ibis budget list park and cruise or stay and park packages without itemising them, so ask what is included.
- Ellington Lodge at The Concorde mentions park and cruise rates, with no terms published.
- Lodge at Solent lists a Cruise & Stay of up to 15 days. Its own page lists no transfer, but the Solent Hotel's page says the package includes port transfers. Ask before you book.
Is park and cruise cheaper than parking at the port?
It depends on the length of your cruise and whether you wanted a hotel anyway. A package only counts as a saving if you would have paid for the room. For a 14-night cruise, the included parking is worth more than for a 7-night one, so compare the totals for your own dates. Our parking guide has the port's prices.
How far are these hotels from the cruise terminals?
The out-of-town hotels are a 20 to 40 minute drive from the docks without traffic, so check the transfer time against your check-in slot. Chilworth Manor is north of the city, Hilton Southampton Utilita Bowl is at West End near the M27, and the Solent Hotel and New Place are towards Fareham and Shirrell Heath. New Place's package also covers Portsmouth, which helps if your ship sails from there instead.
We could not read the sites of Macdonald Botley Park and Holiday Inn Express Southampton M27 on 1 November 2026, so they are not in the table. Ask them directly about park and cruise.
